Deposit and Payment: We require a $150 deposit in order to reserve our unit and payment in full upon arrival (cash or personal checks only, no credit cards). Upon arrival, the reservation deposit converts to a damage deposit. Once you depart and we have had a chance to inspect the unit we will mail your deposit back to you, providing there is no damage to our unit.
Cancellation Policy: We will return your deposit in full if you cancel your reservation at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Within 14 days of your scheduled arrival, we will return your deposit if we are able to obtain replacement guests for the same time period. In the event of a hurricane and you are not able to come down, we will refund your deposit. If you are here during a hurricane and have to evacuate, we will refund the unused portion of your rent.
Restrictions: We do not rent to Spring Breakers. As a general rule, we do not rent to anyone under the age of 25 unless they are married or accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. However, we realize there are responsible adults under the age of 25, so we do make exceptions occasionally. Our unit is in a residential complex so we ask that our guests be fairly quiet between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Registered guests only; no additional overnight guests please. We have a reserved parking space for only one vehicle, right in front of our garage. If you have visitors please ask them to park out front along the street. Absolutely no smoking allowed inside our unit. Smoking is permitted outside on the deck. And...no pets allowed.
Kitchen Limitations: In order to maximize countertop space, we chose not to install a regular stove/oven or dishwasher. Other than that, our kitchen is nicely outfitted. Most of our guests do not come down here to do any heavy cooking anyway, but instead they use the microwave, electric skillet, crock pot or toaster oven for meals during the day and go out to one of our fine seafood restaurants in the evening. We do ask that you do not cook seafood inside our unit as the smell permeates our upstairs living area. You may cook seafood (or any other type of food) outside on the bar if you bring your own cooking gear. You can also bring a small charcoal grill if you like. Please use it either in the grassy area or outside the fence in the sand so that our deck will not be damaged.
Check-In/Check-Out: Our normal check-in time is 3:00 PM and our normal check-out time is 10:00 AM. These times can vary, depending on whether or not we have guests checking out on your arrival day or checking in on your departure day. If our unit has already been cleaned, you may check in as early as you wish. If we do not have guests checking in on your departure date, you may check out late. Even if we have guests departing on your arrival date, you may be able to check in early. Just give us a call on our cell (850-240-7941) about 11 AM and we will be able to tell you how far along we are on our cleaning and when you can check in.
